Transportation Tips
Driving our gas cars are one of the major contributors of air pollution. Here are simple tips you can follow to help improve our air and help all of us get healthier.
1. Choose a cleaner commute — car pool, use public transportation, bike or walk when possible.
2. Combine errands to reduce "cold starts" of your car and avoid extended idling.
3. Be sure your tires are properly inflated.
4. Keep car, boat and other engines properly tuned, and avoid engines that smoke.
5. Follow gasoline refueling instructions for efficient vapor recovery. Be careful not to spill fuel and always tighten your gas cap securely.
