Santa Monica Landscaping Grants
Being a bright light in Los Angeles. The City of Santa Monica introduced a grant for residents of their city. If you want to go-green and conserve your water and get help paying for it the wonderful city will cover up to 50% of the costs. Let's hope more cities file suit.
As Santa Monica explains, "Landscaping accounts for 50 to 60% of residential water use. However, it is possible to have a beautiful garden while saving substantial amounts of water, a precious resource.
California-friendly gardens are appropriate for our climate, they are esthetically beautiful and enhance your property value with requiring little water and maintenance.
The most important factors for making your Santa Monica garden water-efficient are getting control of your watering system, improving the efficiency of your watering equipment and Choosing appropriate plant materials. "
